
Nic Smith, LPC, LICDC, NCC
Nic (He/Him/His) is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) with a Master’s degree from Heidelberg University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Nic is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC).
He began his clinical counseling experience working in community mental health working with clients 5 years-old and up, primarily working with adolescents and teenagers. He has experience working with dual diagnosis clients, court involved adolescents and adults, as well as LGBTQIA+ individuals. Nic is able to work with a variety of disorders and diagnoses including Anxiety, Depression, Substance Use, and Trauma.
Nic uses an integrative and client-centered approach to work with each individual need of a client. He uses a variety of interventions from CBT, DBT, and Solutions-Based approaches. Nic has been trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which are additional modalities to help clients process past traumatic experiences.
Nic is under supervision while working to obtain his own independent license
