What to expect during your visit
Your Experience

We have three office locations across downtown Columbus. Please reference your therapist bio page and/or your appointment confirmation details to ensure you have the correct location for your intake session. If you are meeting your therapist virtually, you will receive a session reminder text with a link to your session.
Our 620 E. Broad St. building is the second of two large brick buildings directly west of 71 on Broad St. There is free parking available in a lot behind the building with the parking lot entrance off Jefferson Avenue. Please note that the door from the parking lot is an employee entrance and is locked. The main front door is around the building on Jefferson Ave. There are two suites at this location, suite 301 which is upstairs on the 3rd floor, and suite 101, which is slightly down the main stairs after you enter the front door.
Our 775 W. Broad St building is located in the Franklinton area. There is free parking in the parking garage, with the entrance on Mt Carmel Mall. Please park on the second level of the parking garage. Our suite, 220, is to the left once you enter the building, at the end of the hallway.
Our 1020 Dennison Ave Ste 101 building is on the corner of Dennison Ave and W Starr Ave. There is free parking behind the building, with entrances off of Dennison and W. Starr. Please use the East entrance of the building (the door from the parking lot) to reach out suite. It is the first door on your left after you enter the building.
Not all of our offices will have a receptionist at the front desk, so please have a seat and help yourself to the water and tea in the waiting rooms. Your therapist will come find you when it is time for your session and can help answer questions you may have for that first intake appointment. Therapy intake sessions are typically about 60 minutes long. Your therapist will ask about the concerns that led you to seek therapy, your current symptoms and life circumstances, and your personal history. For any sessions with a minor, a parent or caregiver will need to be present. They may sit in some or all of that first session, depending on client age and preference. People are often anxious about their first visit with a therapist. This is perfectly normal. All of our therapists strive to create an environment where clients feel safe, and they will respect the boundaries you put up about what you choose to share.
Insurance

Our therapists accept most major insurance plans. Clients may also opt to pay for services out-of-pocket. Please check with your insurance company prior to your first session to confirm that the therapist you are scheduled with is in-network with your insurance plan. You can also refer to your insurance explanation of benefits for information about your expected cost per session with your individual insurance plan. Our billing team will also check eligibility and expected costs for sessions, but your insurance company is the most direct and accurate source of this information.
We offer a user-friendly client portal (Client Portal), where active clients can view and pay their session costs. We accept all major credit cards through the portal and, if necessary, will work with you to design a payment plan sensitive to your budget. You can also use this portal to schedule, cancel, and reschedule your therapy sessions and message with your therapist.
